The Annual Band and Chorus Winter Concert is scheduled for December 18, 2008 at 6:30pm.  Students should arrive at 6:00pm for Warm-ups.

Tri-M next meeting is Tuesday November 18th at 7:30 am.  We will be videotaping our educational tool for the elementary schools…know your lines!

Friends of Performing Arts at PMHS is meeting via e-mail.  If you are interested in this group please e-mail Deb Roberts at Jeeplady@worldpath.net.  The goal of this group is to raise monies to support all offerings in the music department and to raise monies for scholarships for seniors planning to major in the performing arts. Please join us.  OUR students need OUR support.

Band -This band is designed for students in high school who have a love and a passion for playing music. Students who join high school band have usually been playing their instruments for a number of years and should have a good grasp on the fundamentals of music. However, students who would like to learn an instrument are encouraged to do so, and would be placed in the band as soon as their musical skills are up to par. This class meets five times a week for forty-five minutes.

Chorus - A lot of emphasis in the high school level is placed on becoming a performer and not just a singer. The students learn how to sing properly and how to sing confidently. The music selections vary from sacred to secular depending on the size and ability of the group and the time of year. The chorus is made up of students in grades 9-12 and currently meets five times a week for forty-five minutes.
