Wellness Department


This course is a rigorous study of how exercise and diet affect overall health.  Various modalities of exercise and how it may impact fitness will be addressed.  Classroom instruction and practical lab work further understanding of material presented.  A final assessment consists of a written exam as well as performance on the Presidential Physical Fitness Challenge.  A class preview is presented by clicking on this link (

My name is Mark Anthony and I am the Health teacher at PMHS.  I have been an educator for 30 years and currently teach Health, Exercise Science, Basic Human Anatomy and Intro. to Sports Medicine.  I also serve as an advisor to the Bass Club and Granite State Challenge.  I received my Master’s in Education from Plymouth State University and I enjoy incorporating the use of technology into a lesson.  As a life-long learner, this has been an exciting supplement to my teaching methodology through the years. When not in school, I enjoy spending time on the water fishing for bass.

My name is Scott Hutchins and I have been teaching for thirteen years.   I have a Physical Education degree from Plymouth State University and I teach PE Fundamentals, Competitive Sports, Weight Lifting, Aerobics and Fitness and Individual Sports.  I enjoy watching my daughter play volleyball and softball and I am an avid fly fisherman.

My name is Corey Roux and I have been teaching for 22 years coming to Prospect Mountain High School 11 years ago from the Inter-Lakes School District.  I have a B.S. from Plymouth State College and I teach Aerobics & Fitness, Fundamentals of PE, Weightlifting, Competitive Sports and Lifetime Activities.   I’m also the advisor to the Bass Club and when not at Prospect you can find me on the Water Bass Fishing, or riding my Mountain Bike.
