Scholarships

The local scholarships will be available through the Counseling Office in March/April of 2017
Don't forget to keep checking the Scholarship box in the Counseling Office for any new scholarships we get in the mail.

There are thousands of scholarships open to students looking to finance their higher education. While there are great opportunities available, finding the right scholarship for you can be daunting. Here are some quick tips for a successful scholarship search.

  1. Start your search early. Scholarship deadlines vary. The earlier you start looking for scholarships, the more scholarships you can consider.
  2. Brainstorm different groups that you are affiliated with and check out what scholarships they might offer. For example there are scholarships available to students who have parents in the military, for women, and for many ethnic groups.
  3. Avoid scams. Don’t pay any organization to help you find scholarships. Refrain from providing personal information such as your cell phone number, your Social Security number, or your credit card information.
