Art

Welcome

The art department at PMHS offers a wide variety of classes from basic Art I to Pottery.  Many students that have participated in our programs have gone on to win national awards for their work.

Potential honors art or AP art students read below:

Students interested in entering the AP or honors art program must complete a set of prescribed summer assignments (3 for honors, 4 for AP) prior to the first week of classes.  Every assignment must earn a specific grade for a student to be allowed into the AP or honors art classes.  Copies of the assignments and their assessment rubrics can be acquired from the art department during the school year and from the guidance department during the summer.
